Where Relocating Families Are Looking Around San Antonio
Far West San Antonio
One of the fastest-growing parts of the metro, with extensive new construction, access to Lackland and communities stretching along the Potranco and Culebra corridors. I live on the Far West side, so this is also one of the areas I know most closely.
Northwest San Antonio
Northwest San Antonio covers a much broader area than most relocating families realize. It spans from the Medical Center and La Cantera corridor through Helotes, Far West and toward the Hill Country. It’s one of the first parts of the metro I help many out-of-state buyers understand.
Stone Oak + the 281 Corridor
Stone Oak and the north-central 281 corridor remain one of the most common areas relocating families consider, especially buyers looking for established communities, newer housing, strong everyday conveniences and access to major employment corridors. The tradeoffs here are different from Far West or the Hill Country, particularly when it comes to traffic, pricing and how far north you really want to be.
Texas Hill Country
Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde, Spring Branch and the communities beyond the city offer more space, scenery and a completely different lifestyle. But commute, taxes, utilities and acreage considerations are all worth researching in these areas too.
